Ernesto has collaborated extensively with Ping Chong & Company, the world-renowned, National Medal of Arts-winning Off-Broadway theater company, serving as sound designer, supervisor, and recording engineer on a range of projects. His credits include Lazarus (2022), ALAXKA, and numerous productions in the acclaimed Undesirable Elements series (Ukraine, Generation NYZ, The Calling, Beyond Punishment), as well as Nocturne in 1200 Seconds and Chinoiserie.

Founded by pioneering interdisciplinary artist and director Ping Chong, the company is celebrated for its fusion of performance, media, and visual storytelling that interrogates pressing social and cultural issues. Chong’s five-decade career has garnered support from leading institutions such as the Ford Foundation and established him as a mentor to generations of emerging artists.

In his work with the company, Ernesto was responsible for designing, recording, and supervising all sonic elements across both live and recorded productions, contributing to the company’s signature immersive theatrical experience.
